
Writing Specifications for the Procurement of Goods and Services
Specifications communicate the user’s requirements to the manufacturer. They translate operational requirements into more technical language that tells the manufacturer what will be considered an acceptable product; and how the acceptability will be determined. Specifications are the written requirements for a material, product, or service for a proposed application. This learning intervention will cover what and how to organize specifications, the types of specification methods and specific type of language used for writing specifications.
