Writing Specifications for the Procurement of Goods and Services

Course Access: Lifetime
Course Overview

Specifications communicate the user’s requirements to the manufacturer. They translate operational requirements into more technical language that tells the manufacturer what will be considered an acceptable product; and how the acceptability will be determined. Specifications are the written requirements for a material, product, or service for a proposed application. This learning intervention will cover what and how to organize specifications, the types of specification methods and specific type of language used for writing specifications.
